It’s time for Canada’s Rogers and Fido announced the iPhone, it’s the “3 Mobile phones” plans. With the iPhone physical launch imminent now, carriers around the world have started to roll out their plans and handset prices.

As already earlier announced Rogers charges the same prices for the iPhone, 3 Mobile phones is AT&T in the US, but requires in 3 years contract. iPhone 3G will be available to Fido and Rogers customers at $199 for the 8GB model and $299 for the 16GB model on a three-years price plan.

The lowest 3 Mobile phones plan start at $60, and it is only has to offer about 150 voice minutes, 400MB data, 75 SMS. Pretty lame you say? I agree with that. And if you are counting on unlimited data plans forget it. I don’t know how they are thought about it but Rogers and Fido will not offer unlimited data plans for the 3 Mobile phones. Bad boys there, I wasn’t expecting this really! The highest plan offers just 2GB data transfer. And it comes to $115/month.

If you knew about Eco-friendly gadget over time as more and more companies are trying to get their R&D departments to come up with eco-friendly products. And you also read about the progress of electronic gadget on hottest Electronic gadgets like future corn made Mobile phones from Samsung and the trash made mobile phones from Nokia. In the mean time Greenpeace has come up with the “Guide to Greener Electronics” ranking where Sony and Sony Ericsson are top of the class. Somewhere in the middle we’ve spotted Apple and way at the end there’s Nintendo.

Sony Ericsson got a score of 5.1 out of 10. So they are just at mid way. Poor Nintendo. Nokia had a 4.8 score if you are curious about it. As we’ve shown you before, Gadgets companies are trying to eliminate brominated flame retardants or BFR from their cell phone lines. Same thing goes for PVC. Sony Ericsson has already taken PVC out but BFR traces can still be found in their products.

Sony Ericsson has eliminated antimony, beryllium and phthalates from new models since January 2008. Although we are not chemist but that must be sure a good news. What they need to work on is their recycling policy. Apparently they aren’t good at all at recycling with a 1%-13% recycling rate.
