Digital Television Formats

HDTV and SDTV are the two TV program formats which are broadcasted for digital television today.
High-definition television, also referred to as HDTV, is generally preferred to DTV. It uses either 1280 × 720 pixels in progressive scan mode or 1920 × 1080 pixels in interlace mode… these two formats both utilise a 16:9 aspect ratio.
