Younger people are familiar with such facilities that keep them in touch like email, Facebook and Twitter, but not older ones. Yet, these older people should not worry about it as Celery has created a facility that enables them to send and receive email and Facebook updates, using pen, paper and fax machine. Even it will enable them to receive Twitter starting June 2009.

Celery is mediator between those who are familiar with sophisticated technology and others who are are familiar only with pen and paper. Time differences usually makes it difficult for someone and his family to speak over the phone, but Celery allows one to stay connected.

Celery will gather email, Facebook updates, Tweets and other feeds and then send them through facsimile to the Celery client. Then, the client will respond through a handwritten message and include an email address, or today a Twitter post, at the top of the page. Later they fax the message to their dedicated Celery number. Finally, Celery will convert the faxed page into an email or Tweet and sends it on.

Celery is intended to bridge the technology gap and let all age groups to get in touch via any electronic platform using a method they are comfortable with though one prefers to using pen and paper.

The company said it has been tracking the growth of Twitter, and hence the company is certain that its customers will get the benefit from useing Twitter as additional facility to email.
