We have feel that sadness when known that OQO has go down. There is no marking absolutely, but GottaBeMobile has posted with the titled “OQO is Done, But Tech/Team May Live On” then reported:
OQOTalk posted a note from OQO stating that the company is unable to offer support for its customers because of its financial problems. I happened to run into Bob Rosin, OQO’s SVP of sales and marketing, last night in front of my garage and he confirmed that OQO is finished.
He said that the technology and engineering team will live on if a deal they’re working on with another PC vendor pans out. The technology may be used in a gaming-oriented device.
While Engadget also report same thing with titled “RIP, OQO: company discontinues repair service, disconnects phone lines” and reported:
It wasn’t without a lot of warning signs, but still we’re sad to see the hammer drop. It looks like Model 2+ maker OQO has officially closed up shop, and according to a statement on the OQOTalk forums, it cannot offer any more repair or service support due to “financial constraints.” All our attempts to contact the company have come up with disconnected numbers and undeliverable email notifications, so yeah, we think it’s safe to call it now.
We self (AMJ Gadgets Magazine) also ever posted the latest news from OQO about “OQO model 2+ Small laptop arrived“. Of course OQO UMPC user very hope that engineering team might stay to help OQO user. We know many company difficulty in this crisis time, but electronic gadgets user also difficulty and expectedly OQO’s user gets easy to them problem.
