LG launches Application Store and next-gen Chocolate Phone1 comment

Two news hit LG today, sure first no doubted, Seoul Reuters reported LG Electronics Inc, the world’s No. 3 mobile phones maker, is launching an online store for mobile phone applications Tuesday with an initial focus on Asia and aspirations for a more global reach by year-end.

In fact, phone makers and mobile firms worldwide are in a competition to match the success of Apple’s App Store, creating their own near stores anywhere users can download software and content.

Humanizing the software for application is a key for Asia market begun from South Korean mobile phones makers Samsung and LG, which have full-grown on well-priced handsets but are covering in the fast-growing to build SmartPhone category.

LG Electronics, plan to created the “LG Application Store” would provide 1,400 App including 100 free programs, available in 15 languages, company said in a statement on Monday, company will first be offered application service in Asia-Pacific countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Australia and will reach Europe and the South America by the end of this year will created more than 2,000 applications for mobile phones, LG said.

While the second news, besides we are not yet ascertain it is true, the news came from YouTube user video, then some Web site posted it, video viewing the LG’s next-gen called “Chocolate” by the series BL40.
