This is absolutely great news for personal computer users as they will be able to get their PC for free soon. This is just similar to the way people get their cell phones. By purchasing certain data plan, users will be able to get a PC at a very cheap price or for free.

Since most personal computer users need to have wireless connection, they will surely choose a network services provider that is able to provide free personal computer along with their data plan purchasing. Zemlin said that in providing its services, AT$T has offered netbooks. The users have to pay $50 for the netbook which is considered as a part of their services. In another interview, Zemlin noted that Linux can be used by the      data providers to develop application that meet the needs of their network. Providers then can sell the applications as integrated services.

Further, he also explains that by doing it, personal computer price can be much cheaper than a phone. The functions of a phone and a PC are quite similar nowadays. He added that the economic crisis has given Linux benefits as computer users tend to save costs.
