AT&T add MMS Service to iPhone, say tether ‘in the future’

Posted on 04 Sep 2009 at 4:06am

AT&T has finally and choose day for MMS availability on the iPhone. The company says, Multimedia messaging service will debut in the US based iPhone 3G and 3GS users on September 25. That mean all Apple iphone lovers as AT&T customers have to do is download a software update, and you’ll be in business “in the future”.

As far as we know and see, AT&T just decided to honor their rain-checks. Almost all of the rest of the iPhone users around the world had MMS a while ago, same as to all other mobile phone users had MMS a long time ago. Besides intensifying on the logic behind the tethering holdup, think that its nature, this function possibly will exponentially increase traffic on the network service, and we need to make sure that some of AT&T customer upgrades are in place before we can deliver the long-drawn-out functionality with the excellent performance for customers.

Not a lot we know in the network MMS service, customer hope will begin start on 850MHz and 7.2Mbps speed for arguing that their support of more iPhone customers than any other carrier in the world made a positive launch experience a bit of a challenge. MMS service is certainly the tip of a much larger iceberg that AT&T cannot seem to steer away from fast enough, summing the issue up well, for now AT&T just waiting until the complete last minute of its self-imposed ‘by late summer’ deadline may not comfort many who have already lost faith in the carrier’s ability to meet order.
