23 MacBooks Gone In 30 Seconds!

Posted on 08 Sep 2009 at 10:19am

No, I wouldn’t talk about that movie, but it’s about the latest news related to one of the Apple stores. The local authority in Marlton, New Jersey has just recently stated that one of those famous Apple stores has been visited by the thieves, in which of course there is no purchasing purpose at all. And yes, the thieves have succeeded to take many of the items displayed in the store just in 30 seconds!

We might have understood the essential purposes of art of displaying items in the store, it is to attract visitors to come and buy it. But everything went worse as the visitors are those thieves. According to the security camera that recorded the event, those bad people throwing the brick to the glasses and took everything on sight, such as 23 MacBoooks, 14 iPhones and iPod touches just in few seconds.

For you to know, this is not the first time for Apple stores to be a victim of crime actions. This can be a good lesson for other gadget stores to upgrade their security systems and avoid using the real machine sets as the displaying items. It would be much cleverer to use the well made models for that purposes.

Two Faces Software

Posted on 08 Sep 2009 at 9:46am

It is always good to take more control on our kids’ online activities, but have you ready to take your kids personal information at risk? As it been proven clearly, the parental control software people usually install to control their younger age family member has also can be acted against their privacy. The proof shown that this software is periodically sending the information to some parties the company has subscribed. And the information delivered is including your kids’ or maybe your text chat massages.

It so pity that you have to pay more than just that purchasing, to get the benefits you need. And with confident software leased company confirmed about that feature, but they deny it as the privacy violation. They stick in the reason that it is intended to collect information from those kids in relation with game marketing. It seems that the company has tight tie to some famous game, music, movie and other companies, and this feature is designed to know what those kids want exactly.

Whatever the reason is, such back stabbing actions shouldn’t be allowed. And everything is in your own shoulder now to decide whether you want to sacrifice their privacy, or your privacy maybe, for such parental control software.
